About Yujia Stone Village
Yujia Stone Village is affiliated to Yujia Village, Jingxing County, Hebei Province. It is located about 15 kilometers southwest of Weishui Town, the county seat, with an area of about 10 square kilometers and a population of about 1,600 people. The village was founded in the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty (about 1486). The descendants of Yu Qian, the national hero of the Ming Dynasty, moved here in Youdao. After 24 generations of reproduction, 95% of the existing villagers are members of the Yu family. The village is located in the Taihang Mountain depression. There are more than 4,000 stone buildings in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, including stone houses, stone alleys, stone bridges, etc. The total length of streets and lanes is more than 3,700 meters, forming a "six streets, seven lanes and eighteen alleys" pattern.
