About Liuyin Zen Forest

Liuyin Zen Forest is located at No. 52, Yantang Lane, Gaoyou City, Jiangsu Province. It is an ancient temple in the Qing Dynasty. It was built in the 24th year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1819). It now has the Shanmen Hall and the main hall. The arched door is inlaid with the "Liuyin Zen Forest" stone forehead. The temple is located on a small island surrounded by water in the Yucheng Yi Scenic Area. It is said that Pu Songling was related to this when he served as the governor of Gaoyou and supervised the affairs of Yucheng Yi. He wrote the "Gaoyou Station" report and many Gaoyou poems. In 1956, the Grand Canal was widened, and Liuyin Chanlin was used as a processing plant for aquatic products companies. After repairs, the west-facing brick circle gate on the island was restored, and the single-hole Qingning Bridge was rebuilt to connect it to Yantang Lane.
