About Fuzhou Museum
Fuzhou Museum is located at No. 8 Wenbo Road, Jin'an District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. It covers an area of 14.47 acres and has a total construction area of 11,198 square meters. It is a local comprehensive museum. In 1987, the Fuzhou Museum was founded, located in the Yushan Dashi Hall in Gulou District, Fuzhou City. In 1997, the Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal People's Government prepared to build a new Fuzhou Museum. On New Year's Day 2000, the new Fuzhou Museum was officially opened to the public. As of 2022, the Fuzhou Museum has a collection of 8,014 pieces (sets), including 2,579 pieces (sets) of precious cultural relics, with a total annual audience of 321,063. Fuzhou Museum has been named "Patriotism Education Base", "Youth Moral Education Base", "Science Education Base" and "National Defense Education Base"; it is a national second-level museum.
