About Yangzhou Chinese Engraving Printing Museum
Yangzhou China Woodblock Printing Museum, referred to as the "Double Museum", is located on the west side of Mingyue Lake in Yangzhou City, across the lake from the Yangzhou International Exhibition Center. It is the only woodblock printing museum in China established with the approval of the State Council in August 2003. It merged with the Yangzhou Museum in 2005 and opened. It covers a total area of 50,730 square meters, with a main building area of 25,000 square meters and an exhibition area of 10,000 square meters. The architectural design incorporates the shape of a lotus leaf, reflecting the concept of harmony between man and nature. The collection is centered on more than 200,000 ancient book engravings, covering datewood and pear woodblocks since the 14th century and the first edition of "Complete Tang Poems" in the Qing Dynasty.
