About Taiyuan Museum
Taiyuan Museum, a national first-class museum, is located on the Central Cultural Island in the Changfeng Cultural Business District in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. It is one of the landmark buildings on the cultural island's large platform square. It is surrounded by the Fen River in the front and an inland river in the back. It is adjacent to the Shanxi Grand Theater to the north and the Shanxi Science and Technology Museum to the east. Designed by French architect Paul Andreu Design Office, the curtain wall project was completed by Shenzhen Grandland Decoration Group Co., Ltd., a top three unit in China's construction and decoration industry. The total construction area of Taiyuan Museum is 64,400 square meters, of which the main building area of the museum is 52,740 square meters and the platform construction area is 11,660 square meters. The total investment is 830 million yuan.
