About Cape sweet spring
Haijiao Ganquan is located in the southeast corner of Shenquan Town, Huilai County, Jieyang City, Guangdong Province (near Beimen Community Neighborhood Committee/No. 6 Dongguan Road). It was included in the ninth batch of Guangdong Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units on May 1, 2019. During the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, it got its name from the poem "There are wonderful sights at the end of the world, and sweet springs emerge from the corners of the sea". The spring was originally a freshwater spring on the small island of Shenquan in the Song Dynasty, and was built as a spring well in the Ming Dynasty. During the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, the prodigy Su Fu inscribed a one-legged couplet on this spring.
