About Hua Guyan

The Hua Ancient Rock at the northeastern foothills of Jianshiping, Tianxin Township, Longtian Town, Shantou City, Guangdong Province, is said to have been built in the ninth year of Shaoxing in the Song Dynasty (1139) by monks who raised the front seat; another is said to have been founded by the monk Shi Bi in the first year of Yuan to Shun (1330); the temple was expanded in the Yuan Dynasty. In April 1992, it was announced as a cultural relic protection unit in Chaoyang County. It was built by Abbot Shi Guoguo in 1983, and a new outer mountain gate was built. Later, funds were raised for repairs and expansions. Now the temple is divided into three entrances. The rock is located in a mountain spring with overlapping peaks and mountains, including Baoziluo Waterfall and other landscapes. It is located on the west side of Tianxin Township.
