About Ancestral Hall of Tan Hiok Nee
Congxigong Temple is located in Jinsha Village, Caitang Town, Chaoan District, Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province. It was built in the ninth year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1870). Sitting east to west from Xigong Temple, it is 31.22 meters wide and 42.25 meters deep, with a total construction area of about 1,319 square meters. There are two entrances from the Xigong Temple, including a patio, a building, two corridors and a rear package. The architectural layout exceeds the general "Four Points of Gold" specifications. The architectural decoration of Congxigong Temple makes full use of Chaozhou gold lacquer wood carving and stone carving techniques to create many exquisite handicrafts. Congxi Temple was built by Chen Xunian (also known as Congxi), an overseas Chinese leader who lived in Johor, Malaysia during the Qing Dynasty.
