About yuwangmiao
Yuwang Temple is located to the east of Yushan Mountain, Wenshu Town, Yuzhou City, Henan Province, and behind the ancient Jun Terrace of Nansanfeng Mountain, Yuzhou City, Henan Province. The Temple of King Yu (or King Yu's Palace in some places) is an ancestral temple in memory of Dayu. It was built to commemorate Dayu's flood control. In ancient history, Dayu had the status of a protective god, at least in water activities. The Temple of King Yu, like the Temple of Guandi, occupies an important position in people's psychology.
