About Feiying Tower
Feiying Pagoda is located in Feiying Park, Taxia Street, Feiying Street, Wuxing District, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It was built between the fourth year of Zhonghe in the Tang Dynasty and the first year of Qianning in the Tang Dynasty (884~894). It was originally named "Relic Stone Pagoda" and was later renamed to its current name based on the meaning of the Buddhist scripture "Relic Flywheel Yingguang Shining". The tower consists of two inner and outer towers forming a unique "tower within a tower" structure: the inner tower is an octagonal, 6-story stone pavilion-style tower rebuilt in the 20th year of Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty (1150), with a residual height of 14.55 meters, and is carved with 108 Buddha statues and nine mountains and eight seas.
