About Shigong Hill
Shigong Hill is located at the southeastern end of Xishan Island in Taihu Lake. It is a peninsula surrounded by water on three sides, belonging to Wuzhong District, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. The hill covers an area of 0.206 square kilometers and is open from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Shigong Hill gets its name “Shigong” because there is a massive rock in front of the mountain that resembles an old man. Every year on the evening of the 13th day of the ninth lunar month, visitors can witness the rare spectacle of “the sun and moon shining together.”
