About Taicang Mo Miao Pavilion
Taicang Mo Miao Pavilion is located in Taicang Park, Jiangsu Province. Its current location is the former site of Xueshan Garden, the former residence of Zhang Pu. The name of the pavilion was inscribed by Zhu Qizhan. The pavilion was originally built in Huaiyun Temple in the Yuan Dynasty. It was built by Gu Xin to preserve the inscriptions such as the "Returning Letters" presented by Zhao Mengfu. It was moved to the current site and rebuilt in 1983. There are nine stone steles embedded in the pavilion, including Zhao Mengfu's "Returning Ci" stele and Chu Suiliang's "Dead Tree Ode". In the Ming Dynasty, the eunuchs knocked off the stele in search of the stele. In the Qing Dynasty, the Confucius Temple was relocated. During the Cultural Revolution, the broken stele was rediscovered after it was lost among the people.
