About Tuwang Bridge

Tuwang Bridge is located in Furong Town Scenic Area, Yongshun County, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan Province. It is a Tujia architectural symbol in the scenic area. The bridge directly leads to the palaces of the chieftain kings of the past dynasties. It is named after the chieftain kings often relax and chant here. The couplets at the bridge tell the story of the first chieftain king Peng Shichou Xizhou Alliance and the twentieth generation chieftain king Peng Yinan's meritorious service in fighting against the Japanese. The bridge is often decorated with red lanterns and red ribbons, making it a typical ancient covered bridge.
