About Penglai Park
Penglai Park is located at No. 380 Nanzhan Road, Huangpu District, Shanghai. Except for the garden gate, which faces Nanzhan Road to the west, it is surrounded by residential buildings on three sides and is close to Nanpu Bridge. It is named "Penglai Park" because it is located in the former Penglai District. The entire park covers an area of 27,200 square meters, including 12,800 square meters of green space. Penglai Park started construction in May 1953; it was opened to the public in October of the same year; it was closed in August 1970; it was reopened in 1972 and its facilities were successively improved. Penglai Park mainly plants cypress, cherry blossom, magnolia grandiflorum, oleander, cedar, camphor, red-leaf plum, wolfberry, pomegranate, mosquito tree, wintersweet, osmanthus, peach and other plants.
